The boys and I are in Sewickley, PA — a one-time home of Sylvia Compson — to visit Marty’s family and tape an interview with WQED. I skipped a trip to the park with Grandpa so I could bask in the air conditioned, WiFi-equipped comfort of the Starbucks on Beaver Street. Why, you ask?
1) I desperately needed a double Awake tea with skim milk and a slice of banana bread.
2) I wanted to check my email in case Oprah wrote. (You never know.)
3) I was eager to show you that I finished the Dear Jane block I began yesterday, lest any of you think it’s destined to become a UFO:
I never meant to go so long between blocks, but I’ve been busy with other projects.
