S&S has moved back the publication date for The Christmas Quilt to November. I’m not sure why; perhaps November is a more Christmasy month than October…?
Since the books won’t be ready in time for the Pacific International Quilt Festival, my publisher has cancelled my appearance in Santa Clara in October. Currently they still plan to send me to the International Quilt Festival in Houston, because books will be available by the end of the month.
In other news, today I wrote the first 1,025 words of the 10th Elm Creek Quilts novel. I have a working title in mind, but it is a carefully guarded secret. That means I’ve tested it on my husband and mother to make sure they didn’t recoil in disgust but I haven’t told anyone else.
If my publisher doesn’t like it, I can always have another “Name the Book” contest since it was such a success the first time!
