Jennifer Chiaverini, author of Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, a 2017 Battle Creek Reads book, will spend an evening discussing her books, explaining her writing process, and answering questions from the audience. Chiaverini’s books will be for sale, and she will be signing her books. Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker is a compelling historical novel about the private lives of President Abraham Lincoln and First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln told through the perspective of the first lady’s dressmaker, Elizabeth Keckley. Willard Library programs are free and open to the public.
