18 Fat Quarters from “Elm Creek Quilts: Rosa’s Collection” by Jennifer Chiaverini. 100% cotton woven fabric from Red Rooster Fabrics. Limited Quantities Available.
Jennifer Chiaverini’s historical novel Sonoma Rose presents the compelling tale of Rosa Diaz Barclay, a young mother who escapes an abusive marriage to start a new life with her four young children in California wine country during the Prohibition Era. The fabrics in “Rosa’s Collection” incorporate the rich color palette of Northern California’s beautiful rolling hills and vineyards—burgundy, black, deep green and plum. The main and secondary prints include grape cluster motifs accented with lush leaves and vines. These motifs are also used in the striking, mid-scale repeating stripe. An allover label print reproduces vintage labels that would be found on crates used to ship all sorts of produce during that time period. Scale and color value are well represented within the wide selection of coordinate prints.
